We do a lot of implant reconstruction in the office. The reason we're doing it a lot is that technology advanced so much that today we can do full-mouth implant reconstruction with very, very predictable results. We have all the equipment you need to do that in my office. We have a cone beam machine. It's a three-dimension machine to take a CAT scan of your mouth. We have intraoral scanners. Instead of taking bulky and very intrusive impressions, we just scan your mouth and send it to the laboratory. There, they get it within 10 minutes instead of shipping it for two days.
Implant restorations, implant reconstruction is the most exciting aspect of dentistry today because with the advances in that field, with the technology which is coming up on the market every month, something new comes up every month, you can give patients results you never imagined you would give them five years ago, seven years ago. I'm talking about converting an existing denture into fixed prosthesis just placing two, three, four implants. I'm talking about giving a patient a full-mouth reconstruction just placing four, six implants and giving them teeth at the same day. How amazing is that? I'm talking about cosmetic reconstruction with the implants. People who are smiling and people who are eating any food they want. People who were not able to do it for many, many years. I think that is the most rewarding aspect of dentistry, and implant dentistry in particular.
Our implant-supported porcelain crowns are a fantastic option for replacing one or two missing teeth. They will restore your chewing capacity and blend in naturally with your other teeth. Our implant-supported bridges, made from zirconia, can replace several teeth in a row, providing long-lasting strength and beauty.
For a more comfortable and stable alternative to traditional dentures, our team can attach your dentures to teeth implants. Implant-retained dentures are secured using a ball-and-socket system, while implant-supported dentures anchor to a bar that is secured to your implants.
If you are missing all or most of your teeth, we’ll design a custom treatment plan for a full-mouth reconstruction using implants. You’ll soon be able to smile boldly and eat what you want.
Teeth Implants Have Come a Long Way
Tooth loss sufferers have used various types of dental implants for around 1400 years. In recent decades, however, implant technology has advanced at an amazing rate, allowing people all over the world to eat easier and smile again without embarrassment.
Today’s dental implants are crafted from medical-grade titanium. Dr. Bram will surgically insert them into your jaw, where they fuse with bone in a process called osseointegration. Your jawbone accepts the implant just like natural bone and will actually begin to grow around the implant.
Once your jaw is healed, your new implants will be ready for restoration. Implants will also stimulate your jawbone, helping prevent its deterioration and a look of premature aging.
Dental implants from Dr. Bram can improve your smile and your quality of life. Call us at 718-260-6175 today to schedule your no-cost consultation.
